About Clare Gardner Brown

Anyone who met Clare would’ve been impressed by her kindness, love of life and her ability to remain positive in adversity.

It was December 2004 when Clare was first diagnosed with Breast cancer − from that moment onwards her outlook on life was to change as she would frequently recall the saying ‘learn from the past, look to the future, live in the moment’.

In November 2005, when having only recently completed a course of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, Clare was told the cancer had spread to both her brain and her liver. Clare’s first priority was to make sure the family had a wonderful Christmas and to plan for the future. Clare refused to ever stop living and always held on to her sense of purpose.

During the last 15 months Clare remained focused and positive that she would overcome her illness. Sadly on 12 March 2006 at the age of 34, Clare lost her brave battle against breast cancer but her memory and the inspiration she gave to others will continue long into the future.
